Vector’s voice features depended on its maker’s servers and a fee. kercre123’s wire-pod runs that server on the owner’s own machine, so voice commands work again with no subscription.
- ai
- No AI involvement documented. Builds on Digital Dream Labs' open-sourced server code.
- caveats
- Setup and troubleshooting are in the project wiki. Runs on a machine you keep on.
- evidence
- Public repo, maintained since 2022.
