Tidbyt displays depend on the maker’s servers. The Tronbyt community built a self-hosted server and firmware, so the displays run fully locally, keep working if Tidbyt’s servers go away, and can use apps Tidbyt had blocked.
- ai
- No AI involvement documented.
- caveats
- Needs the device reflashed. No mobile app; apps are managed in a web UI. Built-in apps that rely on Tidbyt's cloud have limited support.

- Public repo.
