LEGO discontinued the MINDSTORMS Robot Inventor app on October 1, 2026, with no further updates. Pybricks replaces the hub’s firmware with MicroPython, installed from the browser at code.pybricks.com, and programs are written and run from the same page. The robot keeps working with no LEGO app at all.

- No AI use documented.
- caveats
- Replaces the hub's firmware; the original can be restored. Check your hub on pybricks.com first. Programs are Python, not LEGO's block language.
- evidence
- Public MIT code, maintained since 2018.
