Belkin shut down Wemo’s cloud on 31 January 2026, and devices can no longer be set up through the Wemo app. Binary Boots’ free app finds Wemo devices on the local network, switches and dims them, reads Insight energy use and can set them up on Wi-Fi again.
- ai
- No AI involvement documented.
- caveats
- Local network only: remote access and voice assistants do not come back. Device support is listed by family, not model number; cameras are not covered. The developer says the app is open source, but we could not find the code yet.
- evidence
- App published on Google Play; source not yet located.
