    Agent-guided debloat plus a simpler launcher for Android-based TVs. Inspects the device, takes backups, runs checks, and makes targeted changes per set instead of one script for all.

    Custom home screen that puts the owner's apps and consoles first, driven by the normal remote. Developed in a browser preview, then moved to the TV.

    Skylight + cheap Android photo frames · ai: coding agents

    Wes Bos repaired a Skylight frame's connectivity, then turned cheap Android frame hardware into a household dashboard on the kitchen counter.

    LG webOS TVs (in daily use on a 2019 LG set) · ai: claude code

    GLinnik21's native Plex client for LG webOS TVs draws its interface on the GPU and plays video on the TV's own decoder. On his 2019 set the profile picker loads in about 3 seconds, against about 30 in the official app.

    Amazon Fire TV Edition TVs and Fire TV sticks (tested on Insignia and Toshiba sets) · ai: coding agent

    Muzzammil Yasin Sabuwala's Fire TV Edition set had 129 MB of free memory and a home screen of mostly ads. A coding agent cleaned it up over ADB. dumbtv packages that cleanup with an undo for every step, its own home screen and an on-device DNS filter.
